My appreciation for good health, harmony and the human form has been a guiding light throughout my life. An equal passion for challenge, in learning environments especially, made medical school, surgery and aviation very natural fields of exploration for me. I take tremendous pride in the work I do, as anyone must, if one is to succeed in mission-critical fields such as surgery, where knowledge, experience and initiative play equal roles in bringing out the very best outcome for a patient.

Making the right decision at the right time, with the right blend of know-how and experience, is in many ways similar when initiating a surgical procedure, or landing a complex aircraft in gusting crosswinds. Modesty but courage, flexibility and room for the unexpected, ensure that all comes out for the best.
